TERMS & CONDITIONS
By purchasing a ticket you agree to our terms and conditions and acknowledge that you have thoroughly read and agree to all items in our FAQ’s.
By purchasing a ticket to School’s Out Winter Fest, all Customers acknowledge that they:
Have read all information available to them on the event website, including the FAQ’s;
Have read and understood the Terms & Conditions on the event website;
Will attend the event on the date/time specified on their ticket.
Understand the restrictions in place for the various provided activities:
Height restrictions for Carnival Rides, as detailed on the event website.
Height & weight restrictions for Winter Activities, as detailed on the event website.
Understand the inclusions offered for their particular ticket type & acknowledge that the inclusions are suitable for all attendees.
CANCELLATION, RE-SCHEDULING AND/OR RE-LOCATION
School's Out Winter Fest reserves the right to alter the date, the venue, the entertainment and activities as advertised without prior notice. No warranty is given nor representation made regarding access to all attractions, activities and entertainment.
If the event is cancelled because of any reason outside of the control of School’s Out Winter Fest, then refunds shall be at the organisers absolute discretion.
If the event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated by School’s Out Winter Fest, then all liability is limited to the amount for which the ticket was purchased (including booking fees). Credit Card processing fees will not be refunded.
If a particular session is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated, and the customer cannot or does not wish to attend the rescheduled or relocated event, the customer must apply for a refund within a reasonable time after the announcement of the occurrence. The customer must apply for a refund by the earlier of: (a) 4 weeks after notification of the occurrence OR (b) 72 hours prior to the session. If you do not request a refund within the specified timeframe, you will have agreed to the updated session schedule and will not be entitled to a refund.
Unless required by law, neither School’s Out Winter Fest nor Megatix will be liable for any other losses incurred by the customer as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of the event, including any travel and/or accommodation expenses.
REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
School’s Out Winter Fest does not offer refunds, returns or exchanges unless required by Australian Consumer Law and is at the sole discretion of management.
A change in a Customer’s personal circumstances, a change of mind, an accidental purchase and/or a mistaken purchase does not entitle the Customer to a refund.
Unused entry tickets, unused coupons, unused coupon sheets and/or unused tokens are also not able to be refunded or exchanged.
Refunds will only be considered for medical reasons on the presentation of a medical certificate.
It can take between 7 - 10 business days for a refund to be processed and sent to the Customer’s card issuing bank. Refunds will include the ticket price (including booking fees). Credit Card processing fees will not be refunded.
TICKETS
Ticket dates and/or times can be changed up to 24-hours before a session begins. However, this is only possible if:
The ticket category is the same (e.g. Day Session)
The ticket pricing tier is the same (e.g. Early Bird)
There is current availability (i.e. The session is not listed as Sold Out).
Ticket changes within the same category and pricing tier can be made through the Customer’s Megatix account under ‘My Orders’.
If changes to tickets involve a category change or pricing tier change, Customers must email Megatix directly via support@megatix.com.au ADDITIONAL COSTS WILL APPLY.
Changes to tickets are NOT allowed within 24-hours of the session start time.
TICKETS - INCLUSIONS
Ticket inclusions (e.g. Coupon Sheets) can not be exchanged or swapped for different offerings or different coupon combinations. Any unused coupons cannot be refunded or exchanged for any other offerings or items.
Tokens can not be exchanged or swapped for different offerings. Any unused tokens cannot be refunded or exchanged for any other offerings or items. However, tokens can be redeemed at other Carnival Amusements owned and operated events - additional entry fees may apply.
TICKET RESALE & SCALPING
Tickets may not, without prior consent of School’s Out Winter Fest or Megatix, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction or other unauthorised resale sites). If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the ticketholder may be refused entry.
The resale of tickets in certain circumstances is governed by ticket sales legislation and may attract criminal penalties.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All children 3 -17 years of age must present their ticket to gain entry into the event. Children under 3 years of age do not require an entry ticket.
All adults (18+) must present their ticket to gain entry into the event.
Tickets can either be printed or a digital copy can be presented to staff on a smart device.
If Customers arrive late, they may not be admitted until another session becomes available. Additional costs may also apply.
Customers may be required to submit to a search of your person and/or possessions before entering the event.
Customers may be denied entry into, or removed from, the event where reasonable grounds to do so have been identified including:
if these Terms and Conditions have been breached;
theft;
Intoxication;
Illicit drug use or influence;
Inappropriate attire;
Inappropriate behaviour adversely affecting the enjoyment of the event by others.
Customers are expected to treat fellow patrons, event staff and other suppliers with respect and courtesy. Any form of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event.
Customers agree to comply with all Government directions, orders and regulations that may be in place at the time of the event.
There are no pass-outs or re-entry for this event.
A valid form of ID must be displayed for access to the bar area at Winter Fest Nights.
CONCESSIONS
School’s Out Winter Fest accepts the Companion Card. The Companion Card must be shown to staff prior to entry into the event.
School’s Out Winter Fest does not accept Concession or Pension Cards. No discounts are applicable when presenting these cards, either online or at the event.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings, including prams, throughout the event. School’s Out Winter Fest accepts no liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
All items found are placed in lost property for a period of 2-weeks. If items are not claimed within that period, they will be donated to charity or disposed of accordingly.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL MEDIA
By attending the event, Customers grant School’s Out Winter Fest the right to use photographs and video footage taken during the event for promotional purposes. All content is owned by School’s Out Winter Fest and can be used on, but not limited to, the event website, social media accounts or other platforms without any further consent.
Customers consent to their name, image, likeness, voice and attendance at the event being used for promotional or other purposes at any time and without any compensation.
CCTV
By entering the event, Customers acknowledge that they may be subject to monitoring by CCTV at any time by School’s Out Winter Fest management staff.
SIGNAGE
All signage within the event, including signage displayed on Carnival Rides, should be considered part of the rules and regulations and therefore must be abided by at all times.
CARNIVAL RIDES
There are inherent risks involved when taking part in Carnival Rides. By taking part, Customers accept the inherent risks and agree to act in a prudent manner at all times given these inherent risks.
Customers have a duty to act with good judgement and consideration when taking part in rides, both for themselves and others, and to refrain from behaviours which could affect their safety or the safety of others.
Customers must obey all written and verbal instructions and warnings, provided by School’s Out Winter Fest ride operators, and other staff, without objection.
Customers must use, as instructed, all safety equipment provided when taking part in any Carnival Ride.
Customers must be in good health and free from any potentially adverse medical conditions when taking part in Carnival Rides. Customers should seek medical advice prior to attending the event if uncertain.

SHOWBAGS
In the case of goods sold at School’s Out Winter Fest, Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for faulty or damaged goods. Proof of purchase must be provided.
